Project Delivery is a large, complex and challenging area of work comprising more than 20 major and/or mission critical projects and programmes. We focus on agile, modular project delivery, with our team delivering projects across the department. Our work ranges from building and maintaining parts of the UK’s critical national infrastructure, to managing complex technology-enabled business change programmes.
Working within Project Delivery at the Home Office provides excellent opportunities for career development. We offer you the scope to move roles throughout your career and to develop your skills and experience across projects with a range of complexity and size.
As we deliver significant transformation to keep building a safe, fair and prosperous UK, the need for talented project professionals at the heart of delivering public policy has never been more important. New technology and the fast-evolving nature of the threats we face mean we must adapt quickly – and the need for change is greater than ever before.

The Home Office Project Delivery framework offers an opportunity to learn how projects are managed and delivered in the department. And, how to achieve best practice aligned to the Infrastructure & Projects Authority Standard.
We promote a blended approach to learning, maximising all opportunities to learn on the job and share learning with others. Our learning activities include project delivery qualifications, ‘lunch and learn’ sessions, shadowing, mentoring, and talent and leadership development. We also have an active Project Delivery Community of over 1,500 members.
We participate in the cross-government Federated Academies programme, giving our staff the chance to learn, knowledge share and network with colleagues in other government departments.
