The Government Finance Function is a broad and inclusive community of over 10,000 people, working across departments, agencies, arms’-length bodies (ALBs) and across the country. We work to break down silos, share best practice across government and establish effective relationships with other cross-government professional communities.
Within the Home Office, the Finance Directorate includes operational finance services, strategic advisory services and transformation programmes. These offer vital support to deliver the Home Office’s objectives.
The directorate plays a key role in managing the resources that enable the Home Office to deliver departmental priorities. We ensure value for money is achieved for the taxpayer and provide strong stewardship of Home Office assets. Our people are critical to our business success and we’re committed to providing opportunities for upskilling and development. This allows us all to better meet the challenges of today and the needs of the future.
We continue to invest in – and develop – our people, so that our customers are supported by a highly skilled and motivated professional workforce.
