We’re recruiting over 400 Border Force Officers and Higher Officers to join our Small Boats Operational Command. We’re advertising vacancies at Ramsgate, Dover, Gatwick and Tilbury/ London Gateway under this campaign.
Border Force is the part of the Home Office responsible for securing the UK border 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by enforcing immigration and customs regulations.
The Small Boats Operational Command will strengthen existing capabilities to oversee operations to disrupt Channel crossings, save lives at sea and ensure the safe and secure processing of arrivals in the UK.
We’re recruiting for a range of different roles and skills as we build this command. These include frontline operational officers and managers, as well as roles working on international co-ordination and intelligence gathering. They also include corporate support roles responsible for health and safety, as well as contracts and estates management.

Salary
Border Force Officers
National – Min £25,750 – Max £27,650
Gatwick – Min £26,750 – Max £28,730
Plus, for some of these roles an Annualised Hours Allowance (AHA) of 50% of salary which equates to an additional £12,875 based on national salary minimum.
Border Force Higher Officers
National – £32,000 – £35,200
Gatwick – £33,000 – £36,300
Plus, for some of these roles an Annualised Hours Allowance (AHA) of 50% of salary which equates to an additional £16,000 based on national salary minimum.
