We have 61 Immigration Casework Support Officer vacancies and are inviting candidates to join our Immigration Enforcement team, where you will be supported to develop and grow your career. The closing date for applications is 24 November 2025.
You’ll receive a salary of £26,750 (National) or £30,750 (London/Croydon) plus a variety of employee benefits.
Immigration Enforcement is responsible for enforcing the government’s immigration laws, tackling illegal migration, removing foreign national offenders and immigration offenders from the UK. About the role
As a Casework Support Officer, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and develop specialist knowledge across a broad range of immigration matters. This will involve supporting case progression and maintaining accurate records that contribute to the decision-making processes. You’ll also adhere to with policy and legislation and ensure that the safeguarding needs of individuals are met.
You’ll work as part of a supportive team with access to learning and development opportunities to support your career aspirations.
Full training will be provided, and you will be assigned to either the National Returns Progression Command (NRPC), supporting the removal of individuals with no lawful basis to remain in the UK, or the Foreign National Offenders Return Command (FNO RC), progressing foreign national offenders towards removal under the deportation process. Please note that team preference cannot be requested.

Working Arrangements
This role is available on a full-time basis. It is also suitable for part-time working hours, with a minimum requirement to work 3 days / 22 hours per week due to business requirements.

- Progress and monitor immigration cases in line with current policy and guidance, ensuring timely and appropriate action
- Liaise professionally with a range of internal and external stakeholders, such as legal representatives, healthcare professionals, and social services
- Interpret and manage data using spreadsheets and databases to support case progression and reporting

Online Test
If you successfully pass each test, you will be invited to the single pre-recorded sift and interview. Please complete the online tests as soon as possible (within 24-48 hours is recommended). If you fail to complete the online tests or full application before the deadline, your application will be withdrawn. Each online test must be passed to start the next.
Guidance for the Civil Service test(s) will be available when you are invited to take the test(s). The online tests are accessed via the Civil Service Jobs website.
You cannot complete the tests on a mobile phone or tablet.
Interview
If you pass the online tests you will be invited to take part in a pre-recorded virtual interview using the Vidcruiter platform.
Please note:- A full explanation of how the Vidcruiter sift and interview will take place will be provided to you. If you are invited for interview, you will be required to have access to a laptop (personal) with a working webcam and good Internet access
- You will be required to show and upload photo identification (e.g. current passport/driving licence) at the start of your virtual sift and interview recording, so please have this ready)
You will receive a link to complete a single video sift and interview and you will be asked to video record your responses to pre-recorded questions.
You will have 5 days to complete your single pre-recorded sift and interview once you receive the invite. If you fail to submit a recording your application will be withdrawn.
All candidates are required to answer all questions. The first two Strength-based questions will be scored for all candidates. Only those who meet the minimum pass mark on these initial questions will have their remaining responses assessed. Candidates who do not meet the pass mark will receive scores for the first two questions only.
