We’re recruiting people to join the Illegal Migration Intake Unit (IMIU) at locations around the UK. The IMIU is responsible for the registration and screening of those arriving in the UK illegally. The roles we are recruiting to sit within two of its teams: the Intake Response Team (IRT) and the IMIU Remote Operations Hub.
Within the IRT we are recruiting Immigration Officers. These are uniformed, front line roles primarily responsible for processing people detected in lorries and other clandestine arrivals, as well as providing a surge and response function across the IMIU. These roles are located around the UK.
The roles within the newly formed Remote Operations Hub team are Executive Officer roles and will operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide support with the time sensitive processing of detained illegal migrants who have arrived by clandestine means, including small boats. This is a non-uniformed role, based at our offices at Bedfont Lakes, near Heathrow.

- Starting salaries from £28,000 (£32,000 London)
- An additional annual allowance of 48.91%, which based on salary minimum is £13,695 (£15,651 London) a year . This allowance is paid in addition to your salary to compensate for out of office hours working and flexibility. This allowance is kept under periodic review.
