We’re recruiting Immigration Caseworkers to help progress cases and deliver fair, effective decisions that have a real impact on people’s lives.

In this role, you’ll work to progress deportation or removal cases, reviewing evidence, and making decisions that shape outcomes for people and families, while protecting the U.K. It’s work that requires care, judgement, and resilience, and where your decisions make a difference.

You’ll receive a starting salary of £32,110 (national) or £36,110 (Croydon/London), plus a competitive benefits package and Civil Service pension. This role is at Executive Officer grade.

Immigration Enforcement is responsible for enforcing the government’s immigration laws, tackling illegal migration, removing foreign national offenders and immigration offenders from the UK. About the role

As an Immigration Caseworker, you’ll manage and progress a varied caseload, taking action and making decisions in line with UK immigration legislation and policy.

You will:

  • Progress removal/deportation cases, reviewing and analysing evidence from a wide range of sources
  • Make clear, fair, well-reasoned decisions
  • Communicate outcomes to people and stakeholders
  • Work to deadlines in a busy environment
  • Handle sensitive and sometimes complex material

You’ll be part of a wider team helping to protect the integrity of the UK’s immigration system, helping to ensure foreign national offenders and those with no right to remain in the UK are deported or removed.

Working Arrangements

This role is available on a full-time basis and may also be suitable for part-time working hours, with a minimum requirement to work 3 days / 22 hours per week depending on business need. Some flexibility may be needed during your initial training. 

Training

Training starts in a virtual classroom and continues with on-the-job learning, guidance from experienced colleagues, and access to further development opportunities.

Please note, additional office attendance may be required during the initial training and induction period.
