We’re recruiting 30 Asylum Registration Officers to Join our Customer Service Group teams in Croydon. The closing date for applications is 23:55 on 14 April.  

The Customer Services Group brings together Asylum & Human Rights, Asylum Support and Dispersal, Asylum Accommodation Centres, Resettlement Group, Passports, Citizenship & Civil Registration, Customer Operations Support Services and UK Visas & Immigration. As a major operational arm of the Home Office, we play a vital role in supporting the economy and cultural life of the UK. 

As an Asylum Registration Officer, you will conduct asylum screening interviews for single adults, family units and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, fully registering asylum claims, handling sensitive safeguarding concerns and conducting accommodation needs assessments. 

You may have line management responsibility and be expected to provide your team with direction, guidance, and opportunities. You will contribute to identifying areas of improvement and driving forward ideas to make positive change.  

Full training will be provided to enable you to resolve all customer enquiries. These are uniformed roles, and 100% office attendance is required for the training and for the role itself.  You will also be required to attend and pass level 2 Personal Safety Training.  

This role is suitable for part-time working hours, with a minimum requirement to work 3 days per week. (22 hours and 12 minutes)
